ken wrote on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 (PDT):That is not a 44-6. The model 44-6 has a six cylinder flat head engine. You have the much more common model 44.

ken wrote on Friday, April 22, 2016 (PDT):You are welcome! In the tractor photos there is a photo of a 1949 Massey harris 30. You can find a lot of photos of MH 30's if you do a search. I'm pretty sure the serial number tag on the 30 was on the left side frame below the battery. The battery acid has distroyed the tag on most of the old Massey's. The quick way to tell the difference between a 30 and a 44 is to count the grill bars. The 44 will have seven bars. The 30 will have six bars. The engine in the 30 is a continential F162 flat head.
